HT EP 35: Secrets for Caulking Trim Before Painting
When choosing a caulk don't go cheap. I recommend getting a top quality siliconized caulk. When you are painting after caulking don't use a 100% silicone caulk because the paint will not adhere if you do. Also, make sure the caulk is completely dry before you paint or your paint will crack. Caulking has many benefits as well. When you caulk around windows and exterior doors there will be less air leaking into your home from outside.
