HT Season 2 Ep34: Repainting Trim Work or Replace It
Older houses quite often contain darker trim. Folks like to change the look of it, and so painting can be a good option. Occasionally though, the baseboard is beaten up from regular wear and tear. So removing and replacing it might be a far better option. The great thing about replacing the baseboard is that you'll have something that is really a lot more your style as opposed to what's been in your residence.
