HT Season 2 Ep44: Caulking Trimwork Before Painting
Caulking trim before painting seriously is not that tricky. I advise a high quality siliconized caulk. Do not go cheap and do not work with a 100% silicone caulk when planning to paint right after caulking. The paint definitely will not adhere. Be careful also to see to it that the caulk is totally dry or your paint will certainly crack. You'll find that caulking will give your rooms a more finished look and will cut down on the quantity of air that leaks into your home.
